Darrell Evans will be worshipping with Life Church at the Roscoe campus on September 26 for both the Sunday morning services and the Sunday evening service.

John 10:10 (Amplified)

1 John 3:8 – destroy the works of the devil

Genesis 1:26, 28; 31 – NLT (all He made…it was good)

-So then why are there so many things that are bad and hard…starving, poverty, crime, death, hate, prejudice, abuse, disease???

Remember: “Just because something exists doesn’t mean is was supposed to exist.”

Original Intent: Life was created to be good…it’s goodness drawn from the life source which is good…which is God. Because of the fall (the works of the devil) life was made hard and toilsome…Jesus came to remove the works of the devil and reconcile man back to His life source and source of good.

Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why do you call me good? There is none good but one, that is, God…

2Chronicles 5:13, 14 And when the trumpeters and singers were joined in unison, making one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and other instruments for song and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever, then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

God’s own words…Exodus 33:18,19; 34

Disclaimer: the goodness and life of God is reserved for those that are His…don’t go find all the places in the Bible God needed to judge and say see God doesn’t always do good…The truth is that justice is good and those whom He judged in the past He judged based on His goodness not a desire to do harm or evil…

It is to this Good merciful, faithful, ALL POWERFUL GOD that we are joined to.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

James 1:12-18 (note: those temptations and trials are against sin and to be overcome throughout life, but what comes from God is good…comes down from heaven…there’s no evil or bad in heaven)

“This is not a feel good message, but a passionate reminder to get back what the devil is stealing from us…LIFE….”

Life is supposed to be good not toilsome, drudgery, endured….

God intended Life to be embraced, enjoyed, a journey of learning and experience.

“You draw to you what you expect…” – faith

If your perspective of life is hard than you see the Bible that way.

We miss all the promises that life is supposed to be touched by God who is good. So when evil comes it’s something to be overcome and resisted not endured…

Evil, hardship, disappointment comes, but not from God and if I stay connected to Him good will overcome…life will overcome…even in death we swallowed up by life.

(Don’t misunderstand your ability to learn and grow through hardship as God’s overall plan and purpose for your life.)

“…God works with those who love Him to bring good out of everything…” Romans 8:28- Laubach translation

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD.

2Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.

Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (these must not be from God they’re trying to separate) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God (again not from God), which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Again: If my perspective is that life is to be hard than I except hard and never believe for something different…

Toiling and struggle came from the fall…Genesis 3:17,18

The Covenants were God’s way of getting His blessing back on man. Not all man but those who would opt in…(Covenant = legal contracts by which God could reconnect His will to His people…but man could keep up His part so Jesus came and made one final covenant and He took all the penalty offering us the blessing side.)

See Abraham…

See Israel…Deuteronomy 8:6-18

See us…Ephesians 2:11-13

God set days of feasting and celebration, days of rest, promise of provision, health, family, longevity and also included eternal life….Psalms 23 ( a psalm about life not death)

You tell me if God’s perspective for or life was for His children (not the world) to just suffer and struggle and barely get by….

My perspective on life and the Bible is that God essentially wanted everyman to live. That “Life” was a gift to be enjoyed and learn to love God and each other. Because of the fall opposition to that life entered but Jesus came to bring me life again. So now when opposition to my life comes I don’t just endure I ask God to help me connect to Him and overcome. I look for the end of the valley, I look for the end of the weapons against me, I look for the testimony after this test. If you were to ask about percentages I expect way more goodness and mercy than I do evil and temptation…

Be encouraged today. Receive hope and faith today. Things are turning around…this storm, this opposition, will pass. Stand on your rock and your house wont fall…

I’m so glad you were born, I’m so glad you’re here and I’m so glad you have many years ahead of you to enjoy…when the devil comes in to steal you life and those plans and purposes God has for you do what the Bible says:

James 4:7 “So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.”

We were purchased by the grace of the cross, but we live because of the resurrection. We live because He lives…

He was the Lamb slain, but He is now the King of Kings…

Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Acts 17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifies.

Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

1Corinthinas 15:12-20 (NLT) –if Christ be not risen

There’s an empty cross, an empty tomb, but a full Throne!!! Hallelujah! …From there He reigns, from there we are connected to Him, from there He’s the head of the church and all His enemies are being made His footstool…

Hebrews 10:12, 13 Whereas this One [Christ], after He had offered a single sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,

Then to wait until His enemies should be made a stool beneath His feet.

Ephesians 1:18-23 (Ampl)

Ephesians 2:4-6

Philippians 2:8-11 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore (because of this ) God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Cross equaled this….

Great Commission Passages:

Matthew 28:18,19 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

John 16:7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you]…

John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].

John 16:14 He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.

John 16:15 Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.

We are connected to the King on the Throne…That is the perspective of which I preach…that is the perspective of which I pray for you…that is the perspective of Identity that I have.

“Can the Dead Live?”

This is my Bible and I believe what it says. I can have what it says I can have and I can do what it says I can do. I choose to open my heart and my mind to God’s Word today, Amen!!!

Acts 10:34-44- the gospel

Job asked a question:

Job 14:14 “If a man die, shall he live again?”

According to our opening verse:

-Note: Jesus was raised to life after death

-Note: Jesus ministry was to go around doing good and healing those
oppressed of the devil

-Note: Jesus is the judge of the living and the dead (there is no end in death)

Jesus said:

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am [Myself] the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although he may die, yet he shall live;

John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Jesus is the resurrection, Jesus is the life bringer, and Jesus is the solution/ answer to Job’s question: “If a man die, shall he live again?”

Man can die in many ways: Spiritual death, Death caused by the enemy stealing, killing and destroying, Physical death…Jesus is the resurrection and life for all of these…

Let’s start with death caused by the sin and the devil:

“If a marriage die can it live again?”

“If a career is lost can it live again?”

“If a child wanders from your love and that relationship is lost can it live again?”

“If a part of my body is dead can it live again?”

“My life has been sentenced to death by sickness can it live again?”

To all of these Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life, he that believes in me though he were already dead, yet shall he live…I’ve come to bring life to the area the devil killed and destroyed…I’ve come to good and deliver those oppressed of the devil…I am your solution….Yes, though it be dead it can live again…” Jesus said of Himself : Luke 4:18, 19 (NLV)

Spiritual death: (truth is there is no death of our spirit but we are dead to that which is Life…God) “Though our spirits be dead shall they live?”

Ephesians 2:1-10

Finally, Physical death?

I heard Oprah and her religious leader answer when asked about death, they said we just don’t think about that…but Job did ask and we better think about that answer… “If a man die shall He live again?”

All of us face this question and eternity is a lot longer than the 120 years we may see here on this earth…

Some of you have loved ones who’ve already died…are they alive or just dust?

All of us will die if the Lord tarries and will we just disappear? All of our creativity all of our personality all of who we are that was really enjoyable…will we just cease to be? All the investment put into us by our parents, the experiences we’ve learned from, will they just be lost forever…what a waste.

The answer is: the dead shall live again…All that was sown into you all that you are all your love ones who received Jesus as their resurrection and life will live again.

Again: John 11:25

Jesus said to her, I am [Myself] the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although he may die, yet he shall live;

Matthew 22:31-33

But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.” When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

John 3:15

So that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.[a]

16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

John 5:24
“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.

John 6:40
For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”

John 10:27, 28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Romans 5:21
So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 4:9
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.

1 John 5:11
And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

1 John 5:12-13

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

In conclusion I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. – (No more fear in death)
