Ushers
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers are put on a monthly rotation and if you serve in the 8:30am service, you would need to arrive by 8:00am, and if you serve in the 11:00am service, you would need to arrive by 10:30am.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Ushers can distribute bulletins and other publications, collect tithes and offerings, coordinate with seating, and assist in altar ministry.
How long is this commitment?
1-year
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
A background check will be necessary.
Greeters
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers are put on a monthly rotation. If you serve in the 8:30am service, you would need to arrive by 8:00am, and if you serve in the 11:00am service, you would need to arrive by 10:30am.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Greeters can shake hands with people entering and exiting the building, direct people to necessary location such as the nursery and children’s church, and hold doors open to make entering and exiting easier.
How long is this commitment?
1-year.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
People skills to create an atmosphere that’s welcoming and inviting.
Security
What are the time commitments?
Team members are put on a bi-weekly rotation. If serving in the 830am service, volunteers need to be there by 8:00am, and if serving in the 11:00am service, volunteers need to be there by 10:30am.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Team members can serve during our Sunday morning service, Children’s service, 623, and other special services or events like Harvest Fest and Easter Outreach.
How long is this commitment?
6-months unless other situations or circumstances arise.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
The ability to enforce rules to ensure the safety of all who are in attendance for a service or event. A background check will be necessary.
Cleaning
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers can serve throughout the week or once a month depending on his/her schedule.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Cleaning bathrooms, washing floors, vacuuming, collecting trash, dusting, cleaning doors and windows, steam cleaning chairs, and much more.
How long is this commitment?
Volunteers can commit to as little or as much as they are able.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
No special skills are necessary but certain tasks may be more strenuous than others.
Maintenance
What are the time commitments?
Maintenance days will be held once a month on the last Saturday of the month beginning at 9:00am. Volunteers can work as much as they are able to on those days.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
There are a variety of different ways to serve in this ministry by doing things like changing light bulbs, patching holes in the walls, painting, cleaning, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and many other odds and ends jobs around the church.
How long is this commitment?
Once a month.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
Some skills aren’t required for certain jobs, but skills that are needed for other jobs would consist of electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry. We would appreciate that volunteers with those skills inform us of when they can help so that we can prepare necessary tasks.
Office Work
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers will be called on as needed.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Assisting in mailers, making copies, filing, making phone calls, replenishing the tithe envelopes in the church chairs, folding bulletins, putting together Thanksgiving baskets, and helping in administration with other big events like Harvest Fest, Easter Outreach, and other special events.
How long is this commitment?
Volunteers can commit to anywhere from once a week, to once a month depending on the needs.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
No special skills are required.
Set-up & Tear Down
What are the time commitments?
Commitments vary depending on events and volunteers are called on an as needed basis.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Volunteers can help set up chairs, tables and/or other equipment for events as well as putting those supplies away to their necessary locations.
How long is this commitment?
Volunteers can serve as much or as little as they are able to.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
Physical ability to move around chairs and tables.
Compassion Committee Funeral Luncheons
What are the time commitments?
This committee is used as needed. Depending on when calls come into the office will determine what the commitment would be.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Committee members can prepare meals or pick up meals, deliver meals to those in need, serve as a hostess at a funeral luncheon, and assist in set up and tear down for luncheons.
How long is this commitment?
1-year.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
Committee members just need to be willing to deliver meals to the homes of those in need.
Tot Town
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers are scheduled once a month. We ask that the volunteers that are scheduled for the 8:30am service arrive by 8:00am and those that are scheduled for the 11:00am service arrive by 10:30am.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Volunteers assist in teaching lessons, doing crafts, changing diapers, teaching songs, serving snacks, office work, and most importantly loving the children.
How long is this commitment?
We ask for a 6-month commitment unless other situations or circumstances arise.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
No special skills are necessary, just a desire to train up our babies and toddlers in the way of the Lord. A background check will be necessary.
Child Care
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers are needed on different days for some of ouor mide-week services such as:
- Weekly on Saturdays from 9:40am - 12:00pm at the Roscoe & Rockford Campus
- Weekly on Wednesdays from 6:40pm - 8:45pm at the Roscoe Campus
- First Friday of the month from 6:40pm - 8:30pm at the Roscoe Campus
- Last Sunday of the month from 5:40pm - 8:15pm at the Roscoe Campus
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Volunteers will be able to do crafts, feed snacks, and play with the children.
How long is this commitment?
The time commitment would be for the duration of the class, which is once a week or once a month.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
No skills are necessary, but a background check is required.
XTreme Kidz North
What are the time commitments?
Volunteers are scheduled once a month or twice a month. Those that are scheduled for the 8:30am service need to arrive by 8:00am, and for the 11:00am service arrive by 10:30am. There are also 6 meetings a year that meet on Saturdays from 9:00am – 10:30am. Volunteers are also expected to assist in other children’s events like retreats, or activities.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Volunteers can serve in puppets, characters, skits, memory verse & game, praise/worship, sound/tech, props, painting, set-up, assisting in the teachings, registration, outreaches, tithe/offering talk, writing skits, and administration.
How long is this commitment?
1-year commitment unless other situations or circumstances arise.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
Our leadership, for all the areas listed, will do the training. A background check will be necessary.
Awanas & Cubbies
What are the time commitments?
Partners will join in on the fun and excitement once a week Tuesday nights for 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, from 6:00 pm to 8:15.
How long is this commitment?
Session runs from September thru May. You can start anytime.
What are the different ways to serve?
Anywhere from registration, administration, record keeping, praise and worship, set up or tear down, small groups.

What are the time commitments?
Every Wednesday from 6:00pm – 9:30pm at our Roscoe Campus and every Thursday from 6:00pm – 9:30pm at our Rockford Campus. There is also a leadership meeting once a month on the second Friday of the month from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Volunteers are also expected to be a part of retreats that happen twice a year and or other special events and activities.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Volunteers can be a part of running concessions, registration table or retreat/special event table, assisting in our small groups, security, parent volunteer, altar ministry, planning and organizing events, administration, and more.
How long is this commitment?
1-year commitment unless other situations or circumstances arise.
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
No special skills are necessary just a love for the students to disciple them and encourage them to be all that God has called them to be. A background check will be necessary.
The Source
What are the time commitments?
The third Saturday of every month from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
What different ways, opportunities, or varieties can I serve in this ministry?
Volunteers can assist in set up and tear down, preparation of the coffee, run tech, run registration table, be involved with videos, and much more.
How long is this commitment?
6 months (which only means 6 times because we meet once a month).
What skills do I need if I'm interested in this ministry?
No special skills are necessary, just a desire to serve. You must be between the ages of 18-30.
